Practice Details
These two things are very similar, however with nurse coaching you have the great benefit of working with a licensed medical professional who has expertise in guiding your coaching sessions to assist you in reaching your life goals based on integrative lifestyle medicine and holistic nursing principals.
I have nursing expertise in a wide variety of nursing and medical settings as well as an eclectic educational background in nursing, integrative medicine, psychology, mind-body-spirit education, and spiritual, mystical, anomalous, and psi experiences. This helps me to use my holistic nursing to provide in-depth nurse coaching to help you gain optimal results.

AL, AZ, AR, CO, CT, DE, FL, GE, ID, IN, IA, KS, KT, LA, ME, MD, MN, MS, MO, MT, NE, NH, NJ, NM, NY, NC, ND, OH, OK, PA, RI, SC, SD, TN, TX, UT, VT, VI, WA, WV, WI, & WY. (License pending: CA, IL, MA, MI)

I do not to offer insurance coverage at this time.
I have an extensive background – over 25 years – in the medical field as a nurse in: Intensive Care/Critical Care, Emergency Room, Cardiac and Cardiac Stress Testing and Procedural, Observation, Medical and Surgical, Oncology, Long-term Care, Transitional Care, Pediatrics, Child and Adolescent Mental Health, Home Health, Community Faith Nursing, School Nursing, Float Pool, NYC Marathon Medical Team, learning differences like dyslexia, and end-of-life or hospice care. I also have a strong background teaching individual and group fitness classes, yoga classes, and running marathons and triathlons. My passion is lifestyle and integrative medicine which can be infused in and support individuals in all aspects of life using holistic approaches to prevent and reverse illness and maintain or optimize health.
Working with Jami
I do not provide medical diagnosis or medication management. I do provide nursing diagnosis and treatments, and I may complete a medical health assessment in order to provide an individualized and specialized coaching plan. If at any time medical concerns or questions should arise regarding client health or in cases of emergency, a medical referral may be given. Upon client approval, I can work closely with other medical and wellness professionals that are a part of a clients’ comprehensive health care team.
Yes! I work with various health care professionals and love to accept referrals for nurse coaching that compliments the health care provided by physicians, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, psychologists, counselors and other such professionals.
Please send a message through the contact form or call or email me with your individual name, name of practice, and contact information as well as the information of the person or individuals you are referring and the reason for referral. I may contact you for further information if needed. If you are an individual who wants to make a referral for a loved one, please make sure that you are gaining their consent before giving me their personal information. Or you may provide them with my contact information.
As a Registered Nurse and Nurse Coach, coaching individuals regarding their mental health is within my scope of practice. However, at this time I do not offer psychotherapy or counseling. The mental health of individuals is of the utmost importance in coaching sessions, and often times the goals that are set in coaching sessions are to address and optimize mental health along with physical and spiritual health. If therapy would be beneficial either instead of or in addition to nurse coaching, then appropriate referrals can be made. Psychotherapy services will be offered in the future.
Yes. I do provide nurse coaching for couples, families and groups. Individual health and well-being includes our relationships. Often those who may be battling illness, health issues, death of a loved one, impending death, those wanting to prevent health challenges based on genetic history, or who are otherwise healthy and just want to reach optimal health and goals, agree that they need those closest to them for support and encouragement along the way. It takes a cohesive balance in these relationship units to maintain health for all, and optimizing health and wellness through team effort is key!
I do not offer business coaching, but I do offer group nurse coaching to groups, businesses, health care facilities, non-profits, clinics, and faith organizations to increase awareness and health to individuals in the work place.
Yes, I do offer fitness and marathon support coaching, or I can collaborate with your fitness trainer or physical therapist. I do not offer yoga sessions at this time. However, I do offer meditation in individual and group coaching sessions, and upon request we can implement some floor or chair yoga movements and breathing techniques for psychosomatic implementation if desired. I also offer meditation sessions and packages outside of coaching sessions upon request.
These types of experiences may include:
- encounters with deceased persons such as spouses, family members, patients, or strangers
- near-death experiences (NDEs), which sometimes include out-of-body experiences (OBEs)
- experiences surrounding impending death
- mediumship experiences
- praying or speaking in tongue – This is a beautiful spiritual gift that needs careful discernment, therefore we do not practice this in coaching sessions but we absolutely can talk about experiences and health surrounding it, which is important.
- experiences of feeling in union with a Higher Power or God (usually in meditation practices, NDEs, OBEs, or transcendental experiences)
- the five “clairs”: clairvoyance, clairaudience, clairsentience, claircognizance, and clairsalience
- telepathy
- intuition
- synchronicity
- remote viewing or other psychic abilities (please watch the government’s use of this in the documentary Third Eye Spies to understand this better)
- spontaneous memories of past lives (usually common most in very small children ages 1-6 and can sometimes be related to night terrors)
- extra sensory perception (ESP)
- other paranormal and anomalous type experiences
It is important to understand that the practice of these experiences do not occur in sessions, and I do not teach people how to have these abilities. I do help people discern these gifts and experiences, to recognize their potential, and to better understand themselves and those around them.
While fostering gifts is encouraged, I do believe in spontaneous and organic experiences versus trying to force them. I welcome the discussion of people’s spontaneous experiences and gifts to become a focal point for nurse coaching on spiritual growth and health. We may implement mindfulness and meditation into our coaching sessions, which is a scientifically supported method for mental and physical health improvement.
Although often labeled as “pseudo-science” by some, there is sufficient and significant statistical anomalous research results and first-hand reports of such phenomena by medical doctors and psychology sciences that it warrants respect and exploration for those individuals who experience them.
These experiences can be confusing for individuals, and it can be even more confusing to express them in a way that they themselves or others in their life understand. It can also feel isolating when other individuals do not understand these experiences, or there can be fear of not being believed if shared. Therefore, I provide a safe and supportive space for people to explore and address these potential experiences using psychology, phenomenology interviewing, and holistic nursing through Spiritual and Wellness Nurse Coaching.
No, I do not. There are hundreds of extensive scientific research cases and studies that have been conducted in the United States and around the world with children who remember past lives. Although I would be honored to walk alongside such individuals who spontaneously have such memories or who are questioning such memories, I do not offer services to try to induce the recall of these possible memories.
I do not discourage or support hypnosis for the use of past life regression or memory recall. I am unable to offer referrals for such services. If you are interested in exploring information surrounding such cases, I encourage you to visit the Center of Perceptual Studies at the University of Virginia website, search in google scholar for scientific peer-reviewed studies, or find some information under my resources tab, in order to educate yourself before attempting to engage in such services.
Appointments
No. I provide nurse coaching to individuals of all ages including children, young adults, middle age adults, and senior aging adults. Individuals under the age of 18 need to have parental consent. Individuals under the age of 16 need to have a parent or guardian present during nurse coaching sessions, unless individualized arrangements have been made otherwise.
I offer hourly rate sessions as well as nurse coaching packages. Prices can also be offered on a sliding scale to meet the financial needs of clients.
Coaching contracts are created between nurse coach and client during the intake session or first coaching session. However, in the case of nurse coaching packages with discounted rates, you are not obligated to complete all sessions.
At any time, the nurse coach or client can terminate the nurse coach/client relationship for any reason. Nurse coaching packages with discounted rates that have unfulfilled sessions will be prorated according to sessions that have been completed and a refund, if any, will be issued.
This is a stress-free environment and economic health is important and respected. There is also understanding that not all nurse coach and client relationships may be a good fit, and therefore termination by either party for any reason will be accepted and respected. However, with that being said, my goal is to help you reach yours, and I am absolutely confident that we can work well together.
Scheduling an appointment is easy! Call us at 701-781-4473 to schedule your free 30-minute intake session and any subsequent sessions thereafter. Feel free to leave a voicemail with your name, phone number, and reason for call, and I will return your phone call within 24 hours.
If you choose to email to schedule an appointment, please understand that there may be a delay in scheduling with sometimes unnecessary back and forth. This is not the preferred method, however if this is easiest for you due to work and life schedules, please understand that although I try to respond as quickly and immediately as possible, a response is not guaranteed quicker than 48 hours.
